How many parts of the Nutrition Facts label do you feel like an expert on? Between the grams and milligrams, calories and percentages, label reading can get pretty overwhelming pretty fast. Our nutrition experts at Wellview created this helpful guide on how to go through this block of information.

A few helpful takeaways: use measuring cups the first few times you consume a food or beverage to make sure you're following the listed portion size, remember the "5/20 rule" for a quick number assessment, and take your time (and maybe even have fun!) with it. Sometimes spending a week reading labels for just the sodium or sugar content can help to slowly build confidence. Soon you'll be teaching your friends and family yourself!
