Can you feel the hardships, struggles, and traumas of life weighing on you? Do you know that this weight impacts how you show up in the world day-to-day? Are you easily triggered by little things or just plain burned out? Do you find it impossible to sustain your energy levels consistently? Are you emotionally unavailable to live a high vibrational, conscious existence?
If you answered YES to any of the above questions, this read is for you.
Now before you ask what does any of this have to do with a burning ceremony, give me just three minutes of your time today and keep reading!
In ancient traditions, a burning ceremony is a sacred practice intended to release the energy or feelings of that which no longer serves your highest good. Though this may sound a bit esoteric, it really is simple. As soon as you are born onto this Earth, external forces like family, community and society begin to impart your essence. As a result of your experiences and exposures, whether perceived negative or perceived positive, you formulate your core beliefs, thoughts and feelings. As life progresses, similar or same experiences trigger or solidify what you have learned very early on in life.
However, as the law of rhythm states-change is inevitable. Change can be oriented toward negative or positive choices. Negative choices typically steer you away from your highest good, and thus, highest potential. On the flip side of the coin, positive choices lead to both highest good and potential. In order to build into your highest self, you must choose to take a look at your core beliefs, values and feelings to ensure they too are centered toward your light.
Insert the Burning Ceremony.
The element of fire itself represents the light/positive, as well as energetic transformation, passion and will. There is no right or wrong way to do a burning ceremony. It can be done in a group or on your own. You may choose to write a lengthy letter, poem or just a sentence on a piece of paper. You may read it out loud or release it without words spoken. You can have a giant bonfire or a simple lighting of the paper over a fire-safe bowl.
>Remember only you can prevent forest fires. So SAFETY FIRST ALWAYS!<
Nevertheless, no matter your style of ceremony, the intention of the burning ceremony remains the same: To release any negative energy in belief, feeling or thought form that no longer serve your highest good.
So here’s three simple steps to take for your personally customized release:
- Create a sacred and safe space to reflect and conduct your ceremony.
- Write down all attachments that you wish to release onto paper.
- Release it into the fire as you take a deep intentional breath.
KEEP IN MIND- A Burning Ceremony is a symbolic release of any negative feelings, thoughts and beliefs that have weighed you down. It is impossible to release everything in one singular moment including in a ceremony like this. Therapeutic support and doing appropriate work to heal and deal through past experience is also an essential part of laying a healthy foundation for continued growth.
